Roberto Corvetta

Chairman & CEO

Established Sea World Management SAM in 1990. Prior to SWM, Roberto led commercial activities of Societa Commerciale Marittima with a fleet of 40 tankers (1985). Special focus on refined petroleum products, vegetable and palm oil trades.
Luca Corvetta

Managing Director

Jointly established SWM. Prior, Luca worked from 1988 at the Cantieri di Ravenna shipyard. Vast experience in Technical Management of tankers, with a special focus on IMO Product/Chemical Tankers.
Guglielmo Ruggeri

General Manager

Before joining SWM in 2019, Head of Marine Department for Southern Europe for a major ship management firm in Monaco. With 30+ experience in ship management, background is based on 12 serving on tankers at sea.
Paul Afif

Operations and Crew Manager

Brings over 20 years of shore-based experience in tanker pools and ship management.
Joined SWM in Monaco in 2017 after a decade at Jacob, Hamburg as Operations Manager, chartering with earlier experience at Scorpio Monaco.
Started his mantime career in 1993 on SWM-managed tankers through the same long-standing manning agent in Mumbal, maintaining a continuous professional link with the company throughout his career.

Cristiano Tedeschi

Head of Purchasing

Senior Purchasing Director with 25+ years of experience in ship management, covering cruise vessels, sailing ships, tankers, and bulk carriers. Expert in strategic procurement, supplier negotiation, cost optimization, and technical purchasing for deck and engine operations. Strong technical background with in-depth knowledge of maritime systems (AMOS, NSS, infoship, Shipsure) and marine lubricants, paints, and chemicals.
Pasquale Meschino

Head of Technical

20 years of industry experience, including 18 years at sea (10 as Chief Engineer). As Technical Director at SWM, he oversees the technical management of the fleet, drawing on extensive experience gained with leading international ship management companies.
Jonathan Koren

COO

Jonathan serves as COO of SWM, overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. Prior to his appointment as COO, he led the company’s Chartering Department. Jonathan holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University.
Virginia Corvetta

Projects/S&P

Second-generation executive focused on project origination, finance, and strategic development at SWM. Virginia graduated with distinction from Bayes Business School, earing an MSc in Shipping, Trade & Finance. Her studies provided a strong foundation in shipping economics, investment analysis, and maritime finance.

Founded in Monaco, Sea World Management began its operations with a focus on the tanker industry, building a solid reputation in the field.

SWM tanker fleet expansion in 1995
1995

Expands its tanker fleet, strengthening its capacity for transporting refined products. Alongside fleet growth, SWM increases its technical management and chartering teams to remain competitive.

SWM partners with the Columbia Group to establish Columbia Seaworld, offering services across shipping, aviation and yachting.

SWM launches a carbon credit platform for charterers and enters the dry-bulk sector through the acquisition of its first three dry bulk vessels.
