Technical Superintendent

Your Mission
You will be responsible for the technical management of assigned vessels throughout their operational lifecycle, ensuring they consistently meet our standards for:

What You’ll Do
- Lead the technical management of assigned vessels.
- Plan and supervise repairs, maintenance, dry dockings and technical projects.
- Monitor vessel performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
- Manage technical budgets and control expenditure.
- Coordinate surveys, statutory inspections and class requirements.
- Support Masters and Chief Engineers with technical guidance.
- Liaise with clients, flag administrations, class societies and suppliers.
- Ensure full compliance with international regulations and company procedures.
- Analyse technical performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to incident investigations, risk assessments and audit preparation.
- Participate in the selection and performance development of senior onboard officers.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for professionals who combine technical expertise with leadership, accountability and a passion for operational excellence.
- Marine Engineering qualification or relevant seagoing experience; or
- Chief Engineer or Second Engineer Certificate of Competency; or
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Naval Architecture.
- Minimum two years’ experience as a Technical Superintendent or comparable role.
- Knowledge of Italian Flag Administration requirements and maritime regulations.
- Experience managing dry dockings, repairs, budgets and planned maintenance systems.
- Strong commercial awareness and vessel cost-control ability.
- Fluency in English and Italian.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership, stakeholder management and decision-making abilities.
